We bought a baby pool....for the dog. The poor dog with the black fur coat has been panting alot in the heat, so we went to Toys R' Us and bought her a little pool. She loves it, and Taylor loves playing with her in it. Anything to keep cool these days.

Taylor placed 4th in Long jump. She had a distance of 2 metres and 55cm. I was raining so hard that morning and she was soaked to the bone.

Okay, so now I am 41 weeks pregnant. Didn't see this happening! Definitely getting frustrated (poor Kyle). I had a stress test done and everything looks fine. They are going to induce me on Tuesday so maybe we will have some news next week. She can't stay in there forever
Taylor started baseball this year and is quite a natural at it. She has a good arm and has great hand/eye co-ordination when throwing and catching the ball. She hit a run the other night and ended up scoring a run for her team. She is a good fielder and back catcher. Go Blue Hurricane's!!

So I went to the doctor for a check up last Thursday and was informed that the baby has already dropped. I was a bit shocked as I am only 35 weeks and she has been dropped for about 3 weeks now. You would think because I have done this before (9 years ago) that I would remember some things. Well apparently I forgot what the "dropped" feeling was like.
Anyway, my doctor (and husband and In-laws and parents and friends....) think I shouldn't be working anymore so I am officially on Maternity leave as of Friday. Yippee!!
So we might be having this one a little bit early or she may just hang out for a while. We are just not too sure. So I will be taking it easy, feel free to come by for a decaf coffee or non-alcoholic beer ( I know, sounds appetizing right) anytime you fell like it.

She is kicking me all the time and is getting stronger everyday. She is so active! Lots of heartburn and indigestion. I can't wait to sleep on my tummy again.
Just a funny story from Taylor.
She walked into our room last week in the morning while getting ready for school and asked us what DNA was. So Kyle being Kyle gave Taylor the scientific name for DNA and she just stared at him. So, then we told her basically what it was and she had a bit of an understanding.
So she then says to us, "I want to make a new tree". We look at each other and smile, then we ask her what kind. She says "a banapple tree". In between our giggling and smiling, we tried to tell her how hard it would be, but it could be possible.
We are quite lucky to have a couple of scientist in the family, so we will be refering this one to Grandma Joyce!
Well, it has been a few months since my last post. I am finally feeling better and have been back to work for 3 weeks now. It is really nice to talk to adults again and get out of the house. I love my dog, but I was starting to talk to her like a human. She misses me being home all the time and took her frustration out on Kyle's swimming goggles a few weeks ago.
So I am almost 24 weeks now and the baby is very active. I am having trouble sleeping because she is kicking me all the time. Oh and by the way, we found out we are having a girl. Taylor is so excited to have a little sister. I know exactly what to do again, but I think Kyle is worried because he is so outnumbered by girls. He had a dream that we adopted 4 girls and we had 6 girls altogether. I told him we could try again, but it is still only 50/50, so I am not too sure he wants to take the chance...no seriously, with my luck it would be another girl and I am not too willing to go through this again.
Anyway, we wait with excitment for our new little bundle of joy to join us in a few months. In the meantime, we will continue to enjoy peace & quiet, sleep and being lazy.
